No. Cal bikers, where ya at?

    by Kilroy » Sat Jan 27, 2007 7:45 pm

We are looking to take our first trip to Shasta-Chappie OHV area near Redding, CA. There are about 4-5 of us that want to go on Feb 10th -11th.

It's only about 2 hours drive from Southern Oregon.

    1) Any No. Cal CRF riders wanna show us the hills up there?
    2) Anyone know what Cali rules are about Oregon dirtbikes riding in Cali? (i.e. Are Oregon Stickers good there? emissions for 2strokes, etc....)
    3) What's the conditions like there, we're snowed in and getting antsy around these parts?

    Thanks,

    Pete

I might be able to go... Although I've never been there either. I'll talk to some friends, maybe they know the area. Hey Ernie, you ever been there??

George, I have not been there, but I'm up for anything if I can make it.

spoke with some other friends, and we may be bringing the motorhome and camping that weekend to make it a worthwhile 2 day ride. There's supposed to be a nice campground right at the OHV park.

I went to an eye appointment friday, and I mentioned it to my Doc. He rides a CRF250R, and he really wants to bring his son and go with us too... He just bought one of those pop up tent trailers with big tires that you can haul a couple of bikes on the front of.

You must apply for a permit to cross the Shasta Dam by clicking here.

You can also click here to see the website for the riding area. Looks like a good mountain area to ride with lots of long trails and good views of the Redding and Shasta Lake.

    Let's ride, BBBBRRRRAAAAAPPPPP...
