The Blue Ribbon Coalition and CORVA seem to be the least anyone could do to help the sport from being thought of as someting like 'outlaw', which seems to lead to extinction or getting placed into a park, like Metcalf or Hollister.
Being new to the sport, I'd like to see it survive for a few more years. Trash left all over the desert by people dumping and shooting isn't helping. People probably think riders are doing the trashing. And riding fast by the houses of year-round residents isn't helping anyone riding in the Johnson Valley/Landers/Giant Rock area of CA. During Thanksgiving holiday, police/rangers were issuing statements about bikes being street legal and only with age appropriate licensed riders. This is a sad state of affairs in that semi-lawless area.
