I agree, and your stock shrouds will work fine, and they come in black, red, white and nautural I think.
I just don't lke how the Clarkes stick up at the gas cap area. Doug

I like my clark 3.0 for my 250x, uses stock shrouds but had to trim my wc radiator braces.

I have an IMS on my bike and a Clarke on my sons. I have been very pleased with both and have no complaints. The Clarke was cheaper but the IMS is better looking (Clarkes volcano top Doug mentioned) in my opinion .

Go big and get the IMS 4 gallon gas tank. It is made for the 250X but will bolt right on to the 450X

Oklahoma originally although I have lived in CA since I was a kid. Actually the 2nd largest Chickasaw population outside of OK! Also Cherokee. Thanks on the logo ... I'm playing with the edit profile but having trouble adjusting the size of things.

I don't think the 4 gallons allows you to do that. 3.2 looks better, places less weight up high, allows radiator guards and still gives more range than most of the people you will be ridding with will have.

black will go on and it will be hard to tell you have an oversize tank. the downside, as you noted, is you can't see the fuel. so, style or functional...that is the question. here's how to decide, if you are going to go on rides where you know you'll be pushing the limits you MUST go with the natural tank. if you are just looking for a bit more range and peace of mind...go black.

    good luck...ken
