I am going to Glamis next weekend for the first time. Need to get a paddle tire. From what I read everyone does a 8 paddle tire and a 49 tooth rear sprocket to keep the stock chain. Any suggestions what I should run if I have a 14 tooth front? Maybe I will be lucky and not need to change?

Put your stock 13t back on and use a 48t rear and you will keep basically your same gearing and be able to fit the paddle on with the stock chain.

Glamis is a blast. you will do fine with the 13/49 tooth.
I am hitting Gordons friday/saturday. cant wait to try out the new jetting.

You have two options....
1. 13/51 gearing but you need a longer chain.
2. 13/49 gearing with stock chain. (I recommend this)
Remember to remove your mud flap, if you don't the bike will remember to remove it for you.
The X runs great in the sand, plenty of power and good handling.

Using a different chain gives you basically any gearing option you want not just one

For instance keeping your current 14/51 setup.
