    need more off bottom....

I've done all the normal mods including taking the exhaust baffles out. What I want to know is how effective is an aftermarket pipe.

If that doesn't work, you could try one of these.....

Some have had good results swapping in an R type header for bottom end boost.

That seems to fly in the face of usual logic that large pipes help top end and reduce bottom end doesn't it?

Oh man, I want one! Hehe. I want something that has more balls than I do!

It does ! I don't know if it was just my imagination or what, but I swear I picked up a nice boost off the bottom with both the FMF PowerBomb.
I know I did with the HotCams Stage 2, now that was very obvious.
The Stage 1 is supposed to be a more bottom end cam, but everone who has installed a Stage 2 on this site report a mid and low boost with a hellacious top.
That's pretty impressive for under 200 bucks. Doug

Your 100% correct. But I think that's considering properly sized applications. I think the stock header is probably too constrictive compared to the R. The rule does apply but I think you need to be within the effective flow range of the motor.

Yeah, that's it ! That was an interesting article, I'd like to ride an X set-up exactly how he set that X up. His smog bypass was very interesting, the way he ran the vent hoses was slick too.
I'm just not sold on that whole Power Now deal, but I'd sure like to ride that X of his and see how it felt.
Maybe they'd be surprised at how the X's from this board run,too ! :D Doug
