Trail Tech Vapor - Water Temperature Question

    by lakelaurashawn » Thu Jan 11, 2007 7:18 am

    Folks:

I purchased (from Ken of course) about six months ago a Trail Tech Vapor. This computer has worked great and I have tracked a lot of miles on it.

I ran the hot wire to the headlight so that once started, the Vapor has full power. On my last ride, the Vapor 3v battery went dead and I replaced it with a new one. I had to go through and reset the shift points and water temperature warnings – however the display does not show water the temperature anymore.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what was the correction? I have checked – to the best of my ability – all of the four wire connections and they appear to be fine.

    Thanks,
    Lake

    Lake -

Have you done a master reset (reset button on back of unit) and the single-ride data reset (down arrow & mode)?

As I recall from my installation, the single-ride reset was necessary for rpm/temp to work properly.

In case you don't have your manual handy...

    Good luck!

Thanks for the tip, the single-ride data reset (down arrow & mode) worked great and the unit is back to full functionality.

I had the same problem, you need to reset using the pinhole on the back :!:
