So, a guy asks a question about the 450x in the 450x forum, the first three responses are from Yamaha guys......why do they feel the need to troll around in the Honda forums? Do you guys even think of looking in the Yamaha forums, I have never even looked.

BTW, I WILL say that I looked at the 07 WR450, looked like a nice bike but no friggen way would I buy one.

No doubt, DD. I can't understand why someone would chime in on something they have no experience with, unless they're directing someone to web site, knowledgable individual, or the like. Opinions are overrated -- most folks want/need facts -- Only then do opinions matter.
Unless, of course, they have no life.
Kind of like someone bagging on a Rekluse without having spent some serious saddle time on a bike with one.

I'm curious as to your strong opinion, DD.
Have you owned or ridden one?
Or is it just a color prejudice?

No I have a strong opinion because I like my Honda that much.
That and having worked on Yamahas , the Hondas are so much eaiser to deal with, and the fit and finish of Hondas are superior (Theres that word again)
I like how honda separates the engine/trans oil and does not use The FRAME as an oil res.
I have noticed that over the years Hondas age better, last longer and so forth.
It does not mean I am going to go on a Yamaha forum and talk s'hit about how much better a Honda is, and that was my original point.
I bleed RED I Ride RED.
BTW, I have a stronger opinion about the rekluse (feel better HKE PUK??) see I too can dig up bullshit from long ago......talk about getting a life.

Isn't funny how some folks love to become a burr under one's saddle and then when someone directs the light in their direction, giving back a little of what they've sown, they get worked up?
All in good fun, DD.
Besides, we are afterall, on the same RED team, agreed?
BTW, your reponse to Jim was great! I appreciated your explination as it added specifics, and overall, credibility to your opinion. Keep up the good work.

I have noticed that over the years Hondas age better, last longer and so forth.
And that friends is a big,big deal and says more about the brand than anything I can think of.
So, the Yamahas , all things otherwise equal, may have a valves and head that last maybe 30% longer. Well, they cost twice as much and then some to re-build ! The math fails them, sorry.
Lets talk about the crappy black, non stainless fasteners that Yamaha uses, the junk steering and swingarm bearings, the cheaper cables, the quickie dry rot drain tubes and fuel lines, the pathetic blue plastic that looks beat in record time, the pain in the butt they are to access and work on the motor.
This is fun, lets keep going-how about the crap OEM air filter, the filter frame with x-acto edges, and the junk dzus fasteners that fall off ?
Screw the pre-pubescent.....kitties.
My wifes TTR-125 is a great little bike, and well worth the 1800 and some bucks we paid for it. The deal is though that all those things I mentioned you'd expect on a cheapie, entry level bike. With Yamaha you also get them on the top shelf models too,and they should be embarrassed to criticize our bikes, let alone show up throwing stones on someone elses site. Doug

That's funny, who knew there were trolls on a dirtbike forum? On my University of Utah forum we get a lot of lame BYU trolls, but Yamaha trolls? Too funny.
On a side note, I loved that my Cannondale kept the oil in the frame, the oil stays cooler. However, the Cannondale is dry sump, is the yamaha?

By the way, our beloved Hondas don't use stainless steel bolts either. That's ok, though, since I think the bolts on our bikes [and Yamahas] are stronger than stainless.
Speaking of Yamaha costs, I was looking up the replacement cost of a radiator for my '99 YZ250, and MSRP is $350! (That price has been the same for many years now.) The same radiator for our X is about $200.
