I have noticed that over the years Hondas age better, last longer and so forth.
And that friends is a big,big deal and says more about the brand than anything I can think of.
So, the Yamahas , all things otherwise equal, may have a valves and head that last maybe 30% longer. Well, they cost twice as much and then some to re-build ! The math fails them, sorry.
Lets talk about the crappy black, non stainless fasteners that Yamaha uses, the junk steering and swingarm bearings, the cheaper cables, the quickie dry rot drain tubes and fuel lines, the pathetic blue plastic that looks beat in record time, the pain in the butt they are to access and work on the motor.
This is fun, lets keep going-how about the crap OEM air filter, the filter frame with x-acto edges, and the junk dzus fasteners that fall off ?
Screw the pre-pubescent.....kitties.
My wifes TTR-125 is a great little bike, and well worth the 1800 and some bucks we paid for it. The deal is though that all those things I mentioned you'd expect on a cheapie, entry level bike. With Yamaha you also get them on the top shelf models too,and they should be embarrassed to criticize our bikes, let alone show up throwing stones on someone elses site. Doug
