Will upgrading to the PIAA Xtreme bulb require a coil upgrade? Or will she just bolt right in and light up my life?

Yes your coil will require the 2.5 million gigawatts coil also found on time traveling DeLoreans. Or just do some blow and let John D sell the rest to save his company.
I believe it is the same watt rating therefore no mods required.
