Paul, you're just a riding place snob! :) I actually have a good time out off of Comanche. It's close and convenient with a fairly wide variety of riding available. We have developed a play moto area, found some fun hill climbs and a great practice sandwash. No single track to be found..

I used to ride Ballinger in my last riding incarnation. Loved the place. Wide variety of riding available. I need to go there again. I also want to check out Honolulu Hills just to see what the situation is.

I guess I'm easy... I don't have to be in fear of my life all the time to have fun riding. :)

Jaws, There is single track east of town if you guys would ride the gullies. Ride even those with no trail. Plow your way through the brush to break them in and then hit them again each time you go out. I live in San Diego now, but was born and raised in the Bake(E.B.H.S. Class of '69). I need those gullies opened up so when I come up to visit my brother we will have some fun stuff to ride. It was a shame they closed the Outlaw/Hang Glider Hill area. Many many dirt bike related good times for me in those trails.

was also called Lakeside by some. Cycles Unlimited held a few MX events there, then at Rio Bravo for a few more.

Sounds good to me. I have some very good memories of that place. Used to be a wicked portion of single track that went along the side of a mountain. The drop off to your side was spooky.

That looks like 29 or 19... I know a sweet 45 mile loop including that ridge line.
