Rode with my family as a kid. Waited patiently for many many years until we could afford bikes and then got my boys and wife into riding (so dad could get a bike again too  ) We love riding together...its a great family sport.

Grew up riding with Dad, Mom, brother, sister ... raised my kids on two wheels. Still ride with them both, at 19 and 23. Wife rode for a few years to fit in, but never really liked it and finally said "enough". 38 years and going strong without missing a season or ever having been without a dirt bike.

OMG...that's a freakin' racing team! You must have one of those nice, customized semi trailers for all that! Good for you! Never a lack of riding partners.

more like Beverly Hillbillies. My pop is the only one with a toybox. My sister and myself pile our junk into a cargo trailer and into pickups and hope for the best LOL

My father and I used to ride until he got too old. Now I'm waiting for my son to want a bike. That's him on my Suzuki dual sport, when he was three. I'd pop wheelies up and down the block for him (he loved it) and then give him a two mile per hour ride into the garage. I'm hoping he will want one this year. Matuchi

Our family grew up riding many different bikes, atc's,quads.
My wife and daughter both ride quads (for the moment). We are in the process of selling a quad and shopping for a crf230 and crf150.
My other daughter and son in law also ride CRF"S.
If anyone needs a quad,PM me.

nedirtbikr wrote:Anyway, it's just me and my son (14-yrs.) We started on a 230F and a 150F. My wife tried the 150 when we first got it. She REALLY tried (and I'm proud of her) but she just couldn't get the clutch/gear changing routine and the only turns she made were wide sweeping ones. Well, one day, during one of those turns, she ran herself into a ditch in second gear and bruised some ribs (her third or fourth time out.) She doesn't have a high pain threshhold. She called it quits that day...which still stumps me to this day because she has gotten hurt skydiving with me and keeps coming back to do that. Hmmmmm??? Maybe she just doesn't like all the dirt (she's a clean freak! Every Saturday is "cleaning day".....ick!)

Anyway, she is a VERY feminine "girly-girl" and I think she was just trying to appease my son and I by trying. I don't think she was really ever interested. She claims she'd try a quad, but the thought of one of those in the garage just turns my stomach. :) I don't know...I'd REALLY like her to come out with us and if it's going to take a quad, I may just have to break down and buy one.

Been trying to get my wife to ride a dirt bike for 2 years now. First I tried to get her on my buddies CRF230 but she was scared. Then when we bought my son his CRF150F, she said that she would ride it and still hasn't! She talks all big about getting a quad though. LOL. Her and my daughter both loved the quad that my buddy had (he sold it because he moved to Korea-navy also), but my daughter hauled more rear than my wife did! My daughter first tried a CRF50, promptly crashed and said no way! Then one day when we went to LEMP, she wanted to ride and she rode that 50 all over the parking lot like a natural! Next step is to get her on the 150 but she has already stated some fear of it. If I could afford it, I would buy her a CRF100, as it was the second bike that I had ever had (XR100 1984) and I think it would be perfect for her. Oh and yeah, every Saturday is OUR cleaning day as well! What is up with clean freaks? LOL.
