There you go... we think alike. I'm usually too f'd up to ride anyway (at night, that is.) Let the quadtards have the night rides... I'll sit by the fire with a bottle of Jager and blow up Sobe torches.....

I'll skip the SObe Bombs and riding my bike at night, but a bottle/ a few beers by the campfire are OK by me.......Dunebuggys are a blast at night too...

Oh yeah, dunebuggies and quads at night. Once in a while I'll take the bike out to comp hill at night when at Dumont. But I prefer a quad or rail at night.

As for the Sobe bombs... No way I'd give that up, I haven't perfected them yet!!!!

That will light up the sky.

I have been running a a piaa replacement headlight with a set of fog/driving lights for aux lighting and have been putting off a stator rewind combined with a better light set up, and was wondering if the helmet light might buy me some time. The battery has been getting its arse kicked doing my lighting this way, but it really works ok. I was looking for an alternative set up before i have to spend the $$ on a Baja set up or the like.

Yup, no one else in camp is brave enough, um I mean dumb enough to try them. I'm running at 5 of 9 right now. Figured out the first problem now I'm working on the next regarding how much heat. You can actually overheat the bottle and have it break before the nice mushroom eruption!

    Some tips:

    1. Build a sand base in the fire to stabilize the bottle
    2. Build a bridge of fire near the area where the opening of the bottle will be. This will help ignite the escaping fuel.
    3. So far, I have good luck keeping the bottle about 9" - 10" from surrounding flames (except the top)
    4. An asbestos kiln glove works really well for this. I can reach in, place the bottle and even move logs around with it....

Disclaimer... if you hurt yourself or anyone else, it's Smash's fault....
