    [quote="Kilroy"]Ok tall dudes...

    1) Are other tall guys having problems like this with stock bar mounts? BRP SUB MOUNT GETS YOU UP 2"
    OTHERS GO UP AND FORWARD AS WELL

    2) What is the best HIGH rise bar (and block) setup for my bike without spending a lot of cash? PROTAPER KX HIGH IS STRAIGHTER THAN CR HIGH, GIVING YOU MORE ROOM (BARELY)

    3) Does the "tall seat" foam help with the riding position? MAJOR, MAJOR IMPROVEMENT (GUTS RACING/TALL/MEDIUM SOFT/GRIPPER)

    4) Should I fork over the big $$ and get the BRP setup with the Scotts stuff on it too? I see that it automatically raises my bars 1.5" with that mount they make, and I get a new triple/top clamp, mounts, scotts, bars, etc.. with it for like almost $700.

    My problem is that my 'financial manager' knows that if I get the C kit at BRP with the whole kit-n-kaboddle, there will also be some cost for the X-brackets ($30 more) and even my bark busters will need a new mount to accomodate the new fat bars (another $35)

    AND DON'T FORGET THE SUSPENSION UPGRADE TO MATCH YOURE WEIGHT; GOTTA DO IT.

    Thanks for the input, I did have House of Horsepower in Eugene, Oregon re-work the front forks for me already...

    I'm gonna see how some of these suggestions work, then the cush seat.

    So what do think of Richard's work? Do you like the feel of your forks?

    Like night and day.

    He did my KX500 and I was able to dial it in for the woods (lots of root wads, rocks, etc...) to full hard for the sand dunes at Horsefall or South Jetti in Florence.

    The best of both worlds, and the price is great!

    I can't wait to take the CRF to the dunes and see how she does. We are planning a trip to there in Feb or March.

    My KX'r wiped out anything out there that was stock (banshee's, Raptor's, etc...) If they had Nitrous, I was roosted on, but stock to stock, I blew them away with my 150' Roostertail of Sand from the Big Bore 2Stroke.

    I have a feeling that the X isn't going to be as Bad as the 65hp Kx'r, but we'll still have a hoot!
