I actually rode my 742 until it was worn out, so I can attest to the fact that it is a piece of s'hit.

The 739F front was a world better.

The pirelli was another world better than the Dunlop.

Yup! And with a crappy 742, I'm not even really "all show" just "no go".

Tire is important, but YOU need suspension!

HOW is that gonna make my bike prettier?? You can't even see the valves or the shim stack????

We did PG's suspension first. I'll do mine next.

I'm a lock on the Saturday night LOTTO...

Makes it look prettier as you:
    1. Don't fall down and mess it up.
    2. Go faster and look good
    3. Pass your nemisis with a S.E.G. on your face!
    :):);)

I'd consider the intermediate terrain Metzlers. Their street bike tires are great, and they used to be a very well regarded brand a long time ago. I've never read a review on them though.
I need to get this 18" rear wheel together before I head west, because I want you guys to try a trials tire. Heck,I miss the trials tire, still the best tire I've ever had for off-road.
Since I'm sure DD has a lot of rocks, roots and flaming oil pits in mind for my "special" loop I'll need all the help I can get ! ;)
    Lets see,trials tire,Rekluse,Scotts...that oughta do it !
Maybe I'll show up with some Flatlands radiator guards. Doug

Does anyone know what the difference is between the MaxxCross IT rear and the MaxxCross Desert IT rear? I hear you guys talking about the Maxxis tires a lot also.
