Sorry :D to break into the star trek convention just adding to the original topic. I ride with the whole left coast family, mom 230, step father klx 300, brother 250 R, and myself on the 450X. there is also a crf 150 in reserve for another and an old burned out 80 2 smoke known now as the pit bike project. I feel fortunate to be able to ride with them all. It is in a way a privilege to have a family that plays together. :D
    Where did they go boss?

Man, and I "thought" dirtbikers were cool?! Star Trek? Star Wars? (okay, so I'm a closet fan, too. Don't tell anyone!)

Anyway, it's just me and my son (14-yrs.) We started on a 230F and a 150F. My wife tried the 150 when we first got it. She REALLY tried (and I'm proud of her) but she just couldn't get the clutch/gear changing routine and the only turns she made were wide sweeping ones. Well, one day, during one of those turns, she ran herself into a ditch in second gear and bruised some ribs (her third or fourth time out.) She doesn't have a high pain threshhold. She called it quits that day...which still stumps me to this day because she has gotten hurt skydiving with me and keeps coming back to do that. Hmmmmm??? Maybe she just doesn't like all the dirt (she's a clean freak! Every Saturday is "cleaning day".....ick!)

Anyway, she is a VERY feminine "girly-girl" and I think she was just trying to appease my son and I by trying. I don't think she was really ever interested. She claims she'd try a quad, but the thought of one of those in the garage just turns my stomach. :) I don't know...I'd REALLY like her to come out with us and if it's going to take a quad, I may just have to break down and buy one.
