One of my old riding buds still has a pair of those boots. They have been sitting in his garage since he had both of his hips replaced. He sold his motorcycle, but kept his gear. I'm surprised they still make those.

While the leather is in good shape (4-5 years if properly cared for) and the boot can still stand up those old HiPoints were no joke at all, and even today that is a good boot. All the plastic in todays boots is not superior to very thick and/or lots of layers of leather.
I'd take the HiPoints as long as they had up to date buckles over a lot of under 200 boots I've seen.
I'll sure take that beautiful red CR he's riding though. That to me was one of the most beautiful motocrossers ever made. Doug
