I like this one. http://www.fleetwoodcampingtrailers.com ... n=Scorpion. It has the bike place on the back. It is a pop up also but when the bikes are unloaded it is like a deck as the door opens onto the flat place. I though they looked sweet and was going to make one until I bought my enclosed trailer.

I think the tent campers are pretty nice but they would be cold in the real riding season. Summer camping-YES.

Why not a used WW or other small 18-20' toyhauler?
I know those can be picked up for the same cost or less depending on the seller.

For 12k I would rather pick up a motorhome and a trailer!

    10k for 1988 28' bounder and $1500 for a brand new 5'X10' trailer Rated for 3500lbs.

A little harder to manuver but a whole lot more comfortable with Generator TV, dvd and hot water heater for those long hot showers! 8) 8) 8)

I think your right about a motorhome over a trailer. After reading your post I googled 1998 Fleetwood and found a affordable one here.

Hey Matuchi, that is a good deal, I paid almost double and I didn't get a v-10, even if there are some repairs it seems like a good deal!

After checking out yours, I showed the one I found to my wife who poo poo'd the idea. Her folks bought a new $60,000 class a motorhome two years ago and told us we could borrow it anytime we wanted it, but haven't brought it up since we all got mud on the carpet after going to the pumpkin patch with them. They keep it spotless and I think they are afraid our five year old son will get it too dirty. Now if I had my own.......

.....now if you had your own, you could use it for camping, and vacations, a spare bedrrom when relatives or friends come to visit. But most importantly it is an excellent doghouse when you and the MRS. are getting on each other's nerves. What about taking it to the local pub and having a place to sleep (or pass out) instead of driving home. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Who wants to worry about using the inlaws $60K coach and possible liability (dirty carpets)   When for $5k you can have your own and do with it what you please. We bought a steam vac carpet cleaner from sears for $250.00 and it keeps all the cars and boat and Motorham clean after we use it.

Storage in Sacramento is $45.00 a month or we put it on the side of ther house if we have guests stay over!

Insurance is $350.00 a year for full coverage.

I either tow my trailer or use Joe Hauler racks to carry my Motorcycles, I also spent $300.00 and had a hitch receiver welded up front for additional Motorcycles or a bicycle rack. And I bought a tow bar set up for the Jeep Grand Cherokee for tow behind the Motorham and then i can mount my joe hauler rack on the back of the jeep! 8) 8) 8)

Matuchi, talk her into it, mine went along as soon as she saw the walk around queensize bed in the back! ;) ;) ;)

I almost forget, you can store all of your camping gear in the motorham freeing up a lot of space in the house or garage!

You talked me into it, I agree with you totally. Since I only live two hours away from you, any chance of you coming down to the Bay Area and talking my wife into it????? :D
