Not sure what they sell for they Retail about $800, so I'm sure you could get one for a bit cheaper. A friend did some work for them and we got em at cost.

The tires are 14" front and 12" rear.

    Here's the specs... http://www.coolster.com/QG-214F-A-2.htm

    It's even green stickerable

Smash, that's a cool looking lil' bike. Sounds like you're having fun with it.

Our local dealer of "all things Pit Bike related"... Trapani's, has been selling the Extreme brand. From what I understand, Extreme has managed to produce a pretty reliable pit bike.

    They have 50's, 88's and 125's.

As far as pricing...I'm pretty sure the alum frame 125 lists for $1999. But our local dealer is taking pre-orders for $1499 last I heard.

I'm going to pick one up so I can ride with my son during the "mini" session at our track. That and to just knock around with it.

As far ~ these little bikes, our local Pit Bike series at Raceway Park (NJ) is a blast. I'm looking forward to the '07 season. I ride a bigger air-cooled 125 than these Extremes, but no matter what you ride, it's a great time. Here's a link and a photo of the new 125.

Yup, that's actually a friends shop they are in front of. But picked them up on Hesperia Rd at a shop right next to the bridge on Main street in Hesperia. His shop is across from the G-Spot, so your description isn't far off.

Sounds like the guy who sells them out of his van, down by the river...

LOL, if you mean down by the river is the college on the river and you mean out of his van is that swap meet thing in front of the college, then your right, he sells them there too.

That's not at all what I meant; but now that you mentioned him, I guess so...

My buddy bought 3 of those "Baja" bikes from pep boys and I can tell ya, they are junk. His kids managed to break all three last sunday. One of the 125s broke the shock mount off of the swing arm. He's wishing he'd bought Hondas now. Hopefully yours will have better luck.

Yeah! It looks like the one Smash bought is a far cry from the junk that PepBoys sells.

Well the swingarm on these is built like a real bike. The piece on the front is solid billet aluminum and then the side tubes are welded on that and the rear wheel mounts welded onto that. I might take some better pictures. I think it's one of the best built bikes for the money. No it's not a Honda. But I didn't have to drop $4K on one to make it fit me with the bigger swingarm shocks, etc. It's a play bike, plain and simple. Whatever weak links it has I'm sure we'll break. Oh speaking of, one of them did break a chain. So a new chain is necessary!
