I saw that someone else had this problem too back in 2017 on this board but didn't post an answer as to what caused it or how to fix it.
engine turns over but doesn't start, lights and everything else work, anyone know how to fix this?

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

I am guessing you got something to do with the kill switch wet .... it is possible that it is grounded internally from water , that will prevent it from starting so it might need to be taken apart and blown out with air , or just blown out with air ..... water will prevent the bike from starting if it is in the kill switch , otherwise , you will need to pull apart any electrical plugs that you can physically see that are not under a panel or the tank (wires behind the headlight I would check) , again , checking for water ....

Basically , you need to blow out every connection , and if that is the issue , then I would get some Dielectric Grease , and coat each connection with it , then put them back together , that will prevent water from getting in again .... and DO NOT use a Pressure Washer on any electrical connections or the kill switch when washing the bike ............
