Hi when I change from neutral to first my bike stalls even when the clutch is still
Engaged. I’ve tried to a just the idle but it’s not changing the revs. Is it an idle fault??

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

A bit more detailed info is needed , if you can , please explain if you had done some work on the bike and this started afterwards , or you just got the bike and know nothing about it , or it was working fine , then this issue slowly started getting worse , or it just happened out of the blue , or anything that will give us a idea of what exactly got you to this point

I also have some questions ......

Have you checked the clutch basket for grooving , or removed the clutch plates to check for being worn out or burnt , or broken ?? / Does the clutch feel grabby ?? , or feel like it is dragging ??

Is your clutch cable adjusted correctly ?? , does it have a slight bit of slack at the lever or is it real tight ??? , and does it pull easily and freely

Can you see the actuation arm moving when you pull the lever ?? , (the actuation arm is at the end of the cable , just above the front sprocket on the case)

Does the clutch feel fine when the bike is still fairly cold , but the more you ride it the worse the clutch gets ??

Have you changed oil recently , and if so what oil did you use ?? , a specific motorcycle oil made for wet clutches ??

The more info you give the better , as your info is a bit sparse and does not give enough detail or specifics to figure out the issue

    Cheers mate
I recently bought the bike off another bloke two weeks ago. It had under 20 hrs and the only issue with it was the battery which I replaced. I did a service on the bike changing all of the filters and oils per manufacturer manual and also replace the grips.

I haven had to much exposure to bikes yet so I haven’t pull it apart but I did adjust the clutch line hoping it would rectify the fault but it didn’t.

So when I start the bike up and engage the choke it will idle without a problem. Once the bike is warm I disengage the choke the bike will stall or will struggle to idle unless I give it a bit of throttle.

I used the idle control as per the manual but for some reason it didn’t change the revs or could here a difference in the motor.

I would put the bike on a stand where the rear wheel is off of the ground, and try to put it in gear while running. If it works then, and not on the ground, it is the clutch.
