    CRF 100 Idling issue

    by 1kayaker » Mon Mar 30, 2020 10:27 am

I just took apart the carb and sprayed cleaner on the jets. Put it back together and she started like a champ. I had to reset the idle screw and thought I had it perfect. Took it for a ride and all was good. Got back and let her sit for about 30 seconds. Idle started to drop and then cut out altogether. What did I screw up or not consider. Any helpful info is much appreciated.

Be certain the throttle cable was not holding the slide up and led you to believe it needed a idle adjustment, then freed up and allowed the slide to drop to normal position. Both at the throttle itself and where the cable enters the carb cap.
If it's not that - look for an air leak.
