But basically , you would need to change the clutch plates and disks as a set at the very least ....
As far as them slipping at 8,000km , it honestly depends on how it has been ridden , if you are slipping the clutch in heavy traffic , then I would expect the clutch to go bad sooner than what what would be considered "normal" , if you are riding open roads and not sitting in traffic , then no , it should not have gone bad already ...... As far as what it will do , it will eventually ruin the clutch basket , which will be expensive , as well as the constant slipping will overheat the engine and cause other issues related to overheating , so you want to take care of this as soon as possible .... , I would drain/change the oil and filter as soon as possible as the oil will be in need of changing especially if the bike has been overheating ....
