    Fuel tap problems!

    by Michael551 » Mon Apr 23, 2018 5:22 am

    Hi everyone,

    I have a 2004 crf 250 x........
Runs perfectly on reserve, but the tap gives no flow at all when "on".
Before I take it all apart, is there anything that could be causing this?

    Thank you for any help!

Before you remove the petcock from the tank. Drain fuel and remove the valve lever -Two screws. It may be the port is clogged where the rubber disc sits. The disc may be breaking down and clogged the port. If that all looks good remove the petcock from the tank and check the inlet pipes / screens. If you find that disc needs replacement I can give you the part number for just the disc.

    Baffle out, Screens In

It starts,it runs,it gets to where all CRFs can get to without the valve or valve plate dramas
