upon taking my left engine cover off(fixing a failed counter shaft bearing) . The crank has that little oil inlet in it and it is in about 1/4". The inlet hole is not damaged and I can run small wire into the shaft so its unobstructed. The end of the crank is not damaged, just that this small bushing is in a bit and not flush. The others I have seen are flush. Is this a problem and should I replace the whole crank? Its been in the bike since new. Why is it capable of being pushed in anyways? 2004 crf250R. wiseco cranks? are they ok.
Thanks zoo

If anyone else runs into this issue it is ok for the bushing in the end of these cranks to be inset a little. As long as there is no damage to the inlet hole. Also no damage to the end of the crank as it needs to seat properly in the seal that is inside your stator cover. That is where the oil from your filter will come in from and enter the crank for bearing lubrication. [/img]
