OEM parts list for bottom end rebuild

    by ariel » Wed Nov 13, 2013 10:16 pm

hi I would like to rebuild my bottom end on my CRF 250R because I plan on putting 280 kit in it and I have been told it would be bad to install this kit without a fresh crank and bearings. Is this true? and if so I would like to do this with all OEM parts. dose anyone have a detailed part number list for all the OEM parts that you would need to do this. like a kit list but with honda parts.
My bike is on its first piston but I bought it used from a friend and i do not know how many hours are on it. 100-150 All motocross track

not necessarily true. if the crank and bearings are in good condition you can wait until they show signs of needing to be replaced.

you can visit our OEM parts website at www.yeltrik.com if you do need OEM parts. we also have bottom end kits in our www.crfsonly.com site.

So Ken You think it is Ok to just check for bearing play and if all checks out just put the new cylinder and piston on?

rod play as well and if you don't have any bronze looking shavings appearing in the oil filter you should be fine. it's not to say that they won't go at some point but when they start to fail they typically give up signs like the shavings in the filter.
