Is it adjusted properly, how much free play?
What brand of baskets and plates?
Have you ever replaced the springs?
Photo of damage would be useful.

Cutting up outer basket and running about 1/8 to 1/4 free play. My son adjusts during moto.

Yes I am running the jugger washer that comes with the complete 2009 clutch kit.

Here's a suggestion, get rid of the judder spring, judder ring, and the small fiber, and replace with one standard fiber. Clutch modulation will be greatly improved, less mid race adjustments, and may extend clutch life too. Maybe a Hinson package would be the answer. Some riders just eat clutches, not necessarily a bad thing, if he's running in the front.

True and yes he does run up front, but it comes with a price! Hinson didn't do any better than stock. Maybe the tokyo mod springs may help?

So your saying put the 08 clutch kit in it?

Yes, many of the 13 450 owners are doing the same thing with good results. Personally I have been racing MX with Rekluse clutches the last 5 years and haven't burned up a clutch since. Used to go through 2or3 a season. Just installed a EXP Core in my 13.

Just took the 08 clutch kit out of it and could see where the fibers were beat to hell and back on the out edge. They looked bad, that's when I called Ron at tokyo mods about the springs and of course he said oh yea they will save the clutch! Same as the 09 bog on hard landings. They assured me they could fix the carb perfect, wrong 400$ later and they didn't help it any?
