In all seriousness OE chains aren't worth the time, effort, or cost of cleaners, but if you must you can use a low odor mineral spirits, soak and clean with a parts cleaning brush, let dry good and apply quality spray lube.

Just wondering, my OE chain is still great, no issues. came new on the bike in 2009 and still withing specs. I keep it clean and lubed after every ride, I was wondering what everyone else is doing to clean their chains.

R or X model CRF250? The R is a non o-ring type chain. the X an o-ring type chain. you clean and prep them differently.

True that. My advise was assuming it was the bike in the garage 09 CRF250R.

Here's an interesting link where a someone conducted a study on the effects of kerosene, gasoline, brake fluid, carb cleaner and a few other chemicals on o-ring chains. Definitely clears up some myths.
