Hi i need some advice.

i took my 2005 crf250r out for a ride today. Started fine, ran fine for about 20-25 mins and then all of a sudden it started backfiring and just cut out. i couldnt start it again so i pushed it home. when i was home i kicked it over for a while and if fired but was still popping and banging and cut out again!!

I i left it cool down, tried again but still no joy

Any ideas on what the problem could be??

I would start with looking for a clogged [main] jet. Sounds like you may have sucked up some crud.

If the MJ is clogged it would have fired up & idle fine. If it will not start -I would inspect the pilot jet for debris.
