    Muffler stuffing question???? Please help!

    by revlimiter424 » Sat Dec 15, 2012 2:57 am

So I have my 06 crf250r i'm fixing up and figure the muffler could use repacking. Well I figure out theres 6 different wraps (3 on each side, because the dual exaust) going on inside the mufflers. To buy all these individual oem is going to run me a hundred bucks. Soo I was curious if I could just pick up a big sheet of motorcycle fiberglass pad and just wrap my own. I dont see why this would'nt work but thought I should ask first and see if anyone has done this before or has any other suggestions as to a cheaper alternative. I dont have a ton of cash at the moment and every penny I can save to put towards other things on the bike is going to get me out on the track that much faster. Any help is greatly appreciated!

welcome to CRF's Only. yes, this will work just as long as it's packed/wrapped well.

    again, welcome.
