Excessive engine noise!!

whats up everyone im new to the forum and looking for some help diagnosing excessive engine noise on my 2005 crf 450r. that sounds to be coming from the top end of the motor.
ok so i just replaced the piston/ rings and did a valve adjustment on my bike and put about 5-7 hrs on it. i properly broke in the new piston and rings. i took my bike out thanksgiving weekend and it started to make a excessive nocking/clicking noise coming from the top end.
under instection i found the cam chain tensioner failed and the cam chain was super loose so i just replaced both. and the motor continues to make the same sound. so i guess next step would be to pull the head apart and inspect the piston and valves.
also every now and them my bike is impossible to kick over. its almost as if the auto decomp isnt properly working. i adjusted it into specs per the honda service manual when i did the valve adjustment. if the decomp was failing could that be the cause to the noise that im hearing?
does anyone have any suggestions as to the possible cause any help would be great.
