    Tool for fuel screw

    by blackj » Wed Nov 30, 2011 9:03 am

It's gotten cold here in the last few weeks and my CRF150R isn't idling well. So I figure I got to the fuel screw.
I have an adjustable one I want to install this weekend. But I'm just wonder what type of screw driver I need to remove the factory fuel screw. I want to make sure I have the tools I need to do the job.

    Thanks

honda has had two different types of fuel screws. one with a slot for a screwdriver. the other is a d-shaped and requires a d-shaped tool. we do have one of these tools if you need one. many are able to extract it using an electrical butt connector. you heat it up and then slide it over the fuel screw and let it cool. instant tool.

when removing the fuel screw make sure you put a rag blow the carb to catch the o-ring, spring and washer. they are very small and easy to miss.

    good luck.
