Help with exhaust valves.

Just did my first valve check on my 450R at 20 hrs. The intakes were .005 and .006. The weird thing is that the left exhaust was .014 and the right was .011. I can only find info on valves that are tight so what would cause this problem?

Do I need to worry about it being high and how do I fix it??

don't worry. but yes you should re shim your valves this is why they say to check them from new after first few rides as they bed in when new and then settle down after that

the intakes are within spec as is the right exhaust. you should shim the left exhaust and in all likelihood it will stay in spec after a shim.

I talked to a local shop guy and i think that maybe I was forcing the feeler gauges too hard. He said its a feel thing, dont force it but should be able to feel a little resistance to the feeler gauge. I remeasured and i think everything will be ok.
