practice, timing, and staying in the throttle. if it were easy everyone would be good at it. stay with it.

Essentially seat bouncing is: using your weight to compress the suspension at the face of a jump. Situations where you do not have enough speed to carry the landing, "seat bouncing" will compress the suspension and the rebound effect will assist in gaining distance. This also has a negative effect of height. Practice this technique where there are sharp turns with a jump right out of the corner.

Be careful though, this technique sometimes causes the front end to raise due to your weight being transferred to the rear. Timing and throttle control are critical. Good luck ;)

I experience the opposite. I have to stay on the gas a little more, otherwise I land with my front tire first. With me the "bounce" has a tendency to push me a little forward towards the bars. Like he said timing and throttle control are key, and I need to keep practicing!

I am beginning to get it i raced today and i was on my CR125 in the 125 C class with all 4 strokes and the is a double then a U turn into a 25ft double there is not run and a small berm so in practice i tried it and cased it tried again CASED so i decied to stay sitting and i barely made it then i started clearing it the fans where yelling it was awesome. Idid it every lap in moto 1 then in moto 2 i was 3rd into the first turn behind to CRF250s i passed the 2nd place on on the outside i ralied the berm pinned he stayed inside and still almost beat me to the jump those damn thumpers are fast as hell but anyway the guy in first went to the jump and he went inside to roll it and slid out into my line so i rolled the jump to then i got by him inthe whoops rest was history. I hate to say it ken but my 125 is really having problems. but i have a soulutin im going to buy some earmuffs and pin it

just learned today that if when your front tire is in the air, if you bring your legs up to you it will help get more air and keep you in the front of the bike. always stay centered
