hey yall i cleaned my dads pipe with scotch brite and WD-40 and brown stuff started coming off of it, of course i thought it was rust so i kept cleaning. well now my dads pipe is silver instead of bronze. and it even turned purple and blue after about an hour of riding. he said he wouldnt care if it turned pink, but i am kind of worried. was it rust?

is this an unplated 2-stroke pipe? if so, it's rust and i normally use lime-away and a scotchbite pad to remove it...it should be fine.

yes, bought brand new in july. when he got the jets redone, boyesen reeds, and a Twin Air air filter. but you know whats funny?, every time we drag its the very same bottom mid and top.


if i got all that done to my bike i would be smoking down. so that means if my dads bike was all stock i could burn him up.
