    HDMI Cabling

    by TXSUT » Mon May 05, 2008 4:56 am

I finally moved into the 21st century by upgrading 3 of our home TVs to HD, and have a question. Are the $20 HDMI cables from Sam's and Costco just as good as the $80 cables from Best Buy?

    Thanks,

    Pete

HDMI cables are the biggest scam the stores have going. A cable is a cable, the difference is in the shielding and connections. There's only very little difference in the $20 and the $100 stuff Best Buy sells. Check e-bay too. Lots of quality cables being built by guys who know what their doing.

I should mention that just like anything on e-bay, there are those that know what they're doing...and those who don't but say they do. ;) Beware and do the homework. You can get some great deals on HDMI's...I'm using e-bay stuff currently.
