Ok weird question. I read through my policy and didn't find a thing in there about busted pipe coverage. Does any one know if this is covered in genral house insurance policies? I have water comming out of my wall and can't figure out if it is incoming water or drainage water. it's actuall coming up from the floor undernieth the tile. I listened at my meter outside and it was quiet. TIA

My insurance covered my broken pipe which flooded my finished basement. My mother in law had the same problem as you and her insurance covered her fully also.

Well they cover everything but the actual fixing of the pipe. Everything else is covered. minus deductable of coarse. so I get new tile and linoleum woohoo. LOL

And they pay for breaking up the slab? If you or a friend can do the the tile and vinyl work you'll make money off the deal. Also make sure you don't have any mold in the wet walls.

yeah they cover going in after it and replacing everything after the plumbers are done. I just have to pay for the pipe repair it self. It's gonna cost 300 alone just for them to come out and find where the leak is. but that is coming off my deductable.
