my brother in-law....still a nice guy..

got a pair of the Thor 50/50s he loves the feel and weight calls em sneekerboots, but after getting whacked in the shin a few times he is thinking full boot. Also wonder about the ankle support???

I saw them and thought the same thing, sure they are lighter, but does the ankle support work? And I can't imagine getting whacked in the shin by a tree limb, so I decided no go.

I have a pair of the Alpinestars Tech 2s. I love them for the quick spin around the yard, riding the wifes 4 wheeler or street riding. I primarily wear them on the street and they are a little warm for mid summer use. very comfortable though and no break in time required. I wear Tech4s for racing and they are identical except for the height. The Thor 50/50s seemed to rub on my calf and are a little higher than the AS. They were returned. Could have just been that particular pair, who knows. Ankle support is pretty good, but again I wouldn't wear them for a serious off road day on the bike, maybe on the 4 wheeler.

I agree 100%! Oh yea, what is a 4 wheeler?
