Hello and thanks for adding me to your group!

I have a stock 2005 Honda CRF50F that I recently bought used. It was neglected and I have been going through it. I am trying to figure out the fuel line from the tank to the carb. The tank petcock faces to the rear and the outlet diameter looks to be 5/16". The carb inlet faces to the front and looks to be 1/4". I have a new stock fuel hose and the clamps that go on the ends. The hose looks to be about 1/4" I.D. I have looked through the parts fiche and do not see anything between the tank and carb along the fuel line run. The cut piece of hose that was on it when I picked up the bike was really stretched out to get over the petcock outlet and the fiche shows the same clamp is used on the carb inlet as is used on the tank outlet, but this clamp really has to stretch out to fit over the stretched out hose on the petcock outlet . Does anyone have any info or pictures they could post to help me figure out what is going on here?

I am going to take an educated guess.
The tap looks new compared to the rest of the bike and it is probably an aftermarket replacement.
I found the same problem with the 230 tap I bought when the original started to leak. The suppliers of these taps consider they fit just force the hose over.

Options are either get an OEM tap-be it a great expense or an adapter with a bit of 5/16 hose to go on tap.

If you can get the new hose over the tap you will need a different clamp.
Just make sure it isn't too tight a fit or it may split in future.
I would go with the options above.

Thanks for the info. That's the same conclusion I came to. I ordered a new tap yesterday. The outlet fitting of the tap that that is on the bike has a diameter of almost 3/8".
