Spent a few days in Moab with my 17 year old. 2nd annual Father son ride. Good times, quality time with my boy, here are a few pictures

Very nice. I bet riding with your son is always great, and southern Utah this time of year just makes it better.

It was a great week there, it rained early in the morning one day, went out riding after that, no dust at all. Might plan another trip this fall

    Hey Ken,

Can I ship my 17 year old out to you, his dream is to be a moto mechanic, and open a shop up one day...any suggestions for him on where to start?

if he wants to wrench...MMI. you'd be surprised at how many factory team mechanics come up through MMI. i would also recommend he work at any local shop doing whatever they need him to do...sweep if necessary. just being in the environment is great training and opens doors if he's willing to work hard, learn, and be an asset to the shop. if he wants to own and run a shop he'll first need to know every job in the shop from sweeping to sales, to purchasing to promoting. it's a tough business to be completely frank. so it has to be a passion of his or it can grind you up and spit you out real fast. but if it is it can be a great career. i'd be happy to talk with him if i can help.
