    Trail Advice for Moab

    by robmurray12 » Wed May 22, 2013 12:46 pm

I'm headed to Moab this weekend and was wondering if there are any must do's riding wise. I have been there multiple times mountain biking so I'm familiar with the area.

I'm an intermediate progressing towards advanced rider. Since the girlfriend doesn't ride I will be riding alone. As such, I don't want to get in over my head on too crazy of terrain and get stranded but, I'm certainly not an easy going two-track jeep road rider either.

I will be doing Sovereign Trail. Challenging and fun are my goals. Morning rides to beat the heat. I will probably only be able to do 2-3 rides while I'm there (have to be sure to spend time w/ the girl friend around camp and hiking) so I want to make the trails I choose to ride count.

Also, what is a good jetting / fuel screw set-up for Moab. I ride a 04 250X w/ JD kit, FMF exhaust, cut air box.

you'll have a great time wherever you ride. poison spider mesa is a good place to get familiar with moan on a dirt bike. there's plenty there to challenge you and it goes on seemingly forever. here's a short video of psm.
