It about 2.5 to 3 hours depending. Single track riding. The most beautiful place I have ridden here in CALIFORNIA.

We usually go to Fish Creek overflow because it is rather peaceful. There is another favorite "Menache" camp up on the top of the jeep trail. Hit up Blackrock ranger station for maps and further details. It's off the main road past Fish Creek and Troy Meadows campgrounds. Roads still paved there. Good luck.

Well, I am assuming you are meaning like walking distance. The only one I am familiar with is down near fork of the Kern river where it comes through Menachi Meadows. We always see someone camped there. really not sure if it is an "official" camp spot, but folks stay there. If I was you I would call Blackrock Ranger station and ask. They are really informative.

I know this is an old one but me and my buddies have been back through kwnnedy, past blackrock ranger station the on to Monache meadows. Its only about 18 miles but the trail takes about 2 hours to through by truck. Weve always wanted to ride our bikes through there but until recently I had a YZ 125 2 smoker that burned through 2 gallons in no time. Im looking forward to taking my 450X back there sometime
