Ernie-How did you like Stoneyford? We were up there a few weeks ago and had a long weekend of riding. The 450X went up everything with realtive ease. Lots of good challenging trails there.

Stoneyford was awesome as usual! It was a little too hot for me but we had a great time. Do you live in the area Don? We are always looking for more riding buddies.

I live in Walnut Creek. My son has a 150F and my friend has a 250X and we ride at Carnegie. We are planning another trip to Stoney in a couple of weeks. Where do you usually ride?

We usually ride up at Stoneyford, Penny Pines, Cow Mtn., or sometimes we go down to Hollister. Never been to Carnegie, how is it there? I hear there are lot's of hills. I took my bro in law to a place called Middle Creek, just north of Lakeport. He hated the steep narrow single track stuff. I had a great time, but I must admit, having branches in your face all day does get a little old. Maybe Carnegie will be a nice change. We'll have to try it. I used to go to Pismo quite a bit when I had my CR 500. I don't know if I want to subject the new bike to the abuse of the sand though. I was constantly tearing the bike down and cleaning and regreasing everything. Pain in the butt.

Carnegie is all about hill climbing. They do have a short MX track that my son likes and it is nice to be riding one hour after leaving the house vs. 3 or 4 hours. We do like Stoneyford much better though. Stoneyford has more terrain and better conditions.
I used to ride at Pismo when I was attending CAl Poly years ago. Great fun but I wouldn't subject my new 450X to all that sand. Not until I win the lottery that is.

Yea, you'd have to win the lottery with these bikes being 7k a pop!!
