    First time racing!

    by dnold » Wed Sep 22, 2004 6:14 pm

Well I am going to give racing a try. There is a local arena cross next week end that I am going to enter. This is the first time I have ever competed in an organized event. Any advice for a new guy?

arena cross is where you have decided to "start" racing? my advice...don't. if this is truely arena cross what you'll find is a very tight SX track, narrow lines, and too many riders. all of which increases the danger. not the place for someone who has never raced. seriously, i'd look into local GP's or REM-type events to introduce you to racing. others pipe in and share you thoughts.

where do you live? perhaps some members might know of other racing events in your area.

good luck and let us know how it goes.
