I'm looking into starting racing and don't know where to start. I am a 16 year old girl with a crf230 and have never raced before. Do any of you know what class I would fit into and how I could start racing? I live in San Jose and am interested in nearby races to start. Also, how much do races generally cost? I am interested in any type, motocross, hare scramble, enduro, anything. Is there a website or something that I can visit to learn more about races in my area?

d-36 does hare scrambles at hollister and metcalf, assuming you dont have a d-36 or ama membership...
D-36 annual membership-$30 (or $10 for one day)
AMA yearly membership-$39
Typical race entrance fee-$45-$50
Transponder-$30 buy or $15 a day for rental
