Big congrats to my 13 year old Anthony...

Last night he finally got his first 1st place overall finish in the 250 beginner class!
What a muddy mess too, rained on the track for 7 days straight, but somehow he pulled it off!
Way to go buddy, keep it up...... :D

Sunshine Motocross, Largo Florida.... No sand, real nice dirt with a supercross section with hard orange clay...
Real nice track, but after 7 days of rain, reminded me a little of Daytona 2 years ago...

Ok won't have to rib ya then. Only problem I had with Sunshine was the facilities were nasty. but at least it wasn't Dade City. While the competition is @ DC, the atmoshpere is no good.

as my son would say "Nyceeeeeee".

Congratulation to you and your son. My son's first 1/4 midget main event win was probably way more special to me that it was to him. Something I'll never forget.
He was only 8 and at the time cared more about running around the pits with his friends than racing.

Enjoy these good times with your children.

Years ago.. Sunshine absolutely sucked! New owners in the past few years have really done a great job with the track and the events. It is a great family place, lots of flaggers, medic on site now. We enjoy being there.

Not as large a turn out as Dade, but we hate it there, same track all the time....Same azzholes yelling at thier kids... very dissapointing.
Every series at sunshine, the track is radically changed. It is now over a mile long...
People there are like one big MX family!

That 's good to here. Maybe more people will start feeling the same way and check out the other tracks other than Dade %hitty! I really enjoyed Bartow when I lived down there. But Waldo was a blast as well.
