HUGE disappointment last night at the U.S. Open in Vegas. Stewart did NOT race! He was there but didn't race. So, I'm watching practice and the first supercross class (250 class) practice starts and no bubba. so, naturally i get pretty excited thinking they have put bubba and rc in the same practice session. the riders and bikes come out for the second practice...there's rc and there's ...... there's ...... there's ..... NO BUBBA!
i was right next to one of the team kawasaki mechanics and i asked him what's up...where's bubba. i wish i had a video camera to show you his response. his reply, "he's sick...again" and he shrugged his shoulders and raised his eyebrows. a buddy that was with me said later it was hard to tell whether he was just really disappointed or if he didn't believe it. either way stewart did not race and when they were announcing the racers the announcer said, and i kid you not, "james will not be racing tonight, he's sick with the flu or has nerves but either way he won't be gating tonight."
i'm feeling for james...either way. i truely hope whatever is going on with him he's able to pull it together...and soon.
btw, rc won easily in the supercross class and brett metcalf one is first supercross which was handed to him by andrew short who was checked out very late in the race but suffered mechanical problems and DNF'd.
