OK, all you Reed haters: That sucker is fast! Feel what you want about him personally, you cannot downplay the riding. He was fast than Bubba and even Bubba acknowledged it.

reed is absolutely fast but actually stewart had the fastest lap times of the night including practice. not by much but still faster.
i was impressed with reed's endurance. it definitely matched james endurance. there's some really good racing yet to come.
so, what did you think of alessi's move on villopoto? ryan has to know that he's mike's going to pull that on him every chance he gets. even still mike finishes 11th and ryan 7th. scoreboard!

Stewart does not look comfortable on the Yamaha. He tossed his Kawi around last year like it was a dirty pair of socks! Reed looks smooth, focused, and refined. There was also a good show of sportsmanship at the end as well... which made up for Alessi being an idiot again by brake checking Villapoto! Give Villapoto one more year and he will be right there. He WILL podium this year, mark my words!

According to my eyes and the commentators, Reed was faster than Bubba, although Bubba had the fastest qualifying time. Reed caught up to him at least twice before being blocked or making an error. In the closing interview, Bubba stated that Reed was faster on this night and that Bubba was glad he was able to gut it out and get the win.
The Alessi/Villopoto rivalry goes on. Villopoto should have expected that move. It should be fun to watch i the future.

yeah, i heard james say it too but no one in practice or during the race pulled a faster lap time then james. now that's not saying that every lap james was faster. it's just saying the reed's fastest lap wasn't as fast as stewart's fastest lap.

agreed. something's not right with either the bike, the rider or the bike/rider combination. he doesn't look comfortable at all...especially in the whoops, where in the past he looked very comfortable. they better get it worked out. check that, i hope they don't get it worked out so he'll flip to honda next year!

Yeah, there were a couple of Honda's on the track that are begging to be ridden MUCH faster. Not to be too critical, but some of the riders that Honda has signed need to move on... they have simply not lived up to the expectations. All that said, it looks like we are in for a great year of Supercross!

Agreed!!!!
I love Tedesco...but c'mon already. The Podium means 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Get on the podium or move on.
The one I can't get my brain around is Ben Townley.
He's been taking up a spot for two years and I can't remember seeing him race. How do I get that gig?
I can "not race" just as well as him...
I like Milsapps and Shorty a whole lot. Quality guys for sure. Just need to see some wins.
Stewart for 2010??? I like the sound of that. Honda...you listening?

There is something definately wrong with the Yamahopper , remember when Langstons shock broke? last year , and in all the articles i have read they said they really havn't changed it much since last year , i noticed Stewart , J. Grant , Hill , all having the rear kick up a lot in anything rough , especially coming into a corner after hitting any braking bumps , its like the rebound isn't working right or something , u would figure the mechanics would see it ,( or maybe they know it but can't fix it)

as it seems to be a problem with all of the 450's(Yam)
Stewart usually shines in the whoops(at least on a Kawi) , he was soft in the rear and stiff in the front , his bikes were always set-up to work best in the whoops , as that is where he made up his speed on everyone else ,then he would just hang on , on the rest of the track , but man, that blue bike looks like its just not even close in handling to any of the other bikes , even the orange bikes are handling better , and that ain't saying much for the Yamahopper , to be out handled by a KTpuMkin !

I definitely agree with what everyone has said about JS not looking comfortable. He looks bad in the whoops , and that was never the case on Kawi....I don't get it, you would think they would have it a bit more dialed in by now.
I also agree Reed looks AWESOMELY comfortable on the Suzuki!...In fact I think he looks better then he did on the Yamaha. It also seems to me he has adjusted to the EFI well.
JS to Honda?..that would be like a dream come true, But I think hes got too much invested in this Yamaha deal. Didn't he start his own company or something with them?...like maybe his own team deal kind of thing?...its called JSE or something?...Kinda like having your own record label under a bigger major label?...same concept. Anyone know the details of this?...

I was glad to see Reed and Stewart high five`n after the race, but there`s no dought that Reed has Stewart worried. What about Josh Grant,he`s been amazing! The biggest shocker is what is wrong with Davy Milsaps?

it's shaping up to be an awesome season. i'm still routing for Ryan Villopoto. i know his on a kawi but he was super fast in the outdoor season, and his a good, clean rider. i think he just has the shakes from going to a new 450 EFI bike, and with racing against the best in the business. the battle between him and stewart lasted about a lap but i was on the edge of my couch.
