2020 CRF450r Won't start when hot

Once it's hot and I turn it off or stall it and go to start it, it will turn over once then makes a sound almost like a fan blowing for about 3 seconds then nothing. I sit there about a minute and it will start again just fine. If it's cold it starts fine. Runs fine once it's started (kind of wants to stall in corners more).

Anyone seen this issue or have any ideas? I replaced the spark plug since that's easy but no luck.

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

No I have not heard of that .... I am wondering by the sound you seem to be hearing , if it is not a fuel pump issue ??? , how many hours do you have on it ?? , and just to eliminate them , have you checked the valves ??

My first guess is going to be something related to the fuel pump or fuel , just because of the sound , as that is the only component that I can think of that actually would make a noise .... maybe the vent line to your gas cap is clogged ?? , that will cause a vapor lock and it will only die once you run it or ride for a bit and it pulls the air from the tank by the pump sucking gas , then it has no air left and will basically vacuum lock ..... Stator could be a issue , but I have not heard any issues with them .... I have over 62 hours on mine , and no issues at all ....

Try riding it and when it starts giving issues , loosen the gas cap (try and be on flat ground so you don't splash gas everywhere) and see if it picks up , that would tell you if it is a venting issue either from the line or the cap itself ..

Also , are you getting any codes flashing ??? (aside from the standard flashes that normally happen) ... , the only flashing you should have is the initial startup , whatever map you are in and if Traction Control is engaged , anything else would be a issue code
