Got a 2004 crf 450. Looking to put some lights on it. Been looking for a new lighting stator.. do you need to put a new flywheel in or can you get away with just a higher output one and run some lights. If someone has this setup let me know. Thanks in advance

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

Depending on the unit/brand you choose , you should not need a flywheel , just the stator kit , however , some kits require a battery of some sort and a regulator/rectifier , or a battery and a regulator , to run the lights , depending on the output and/or type of lighting used , such as LED or Halogen , turn signals , brake light , horn , etc. .... it all makes a difference on what is needed ...

I do not have the setup , so can't say firsthand , but the general consensus is , the type of kit you buy will determine what exactly is needed in addition to the stator itself , if at all .....

Just ordered a lighting coil at 60 watts. Got a led headlight and taillight. Trying to see see what else I need to run them. I'm thinking I need a reg/rec and battery since the lights are dc. Just trying to find the right ones I need. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
