Does anyone know if the the 02 crf450r sidecase that houses the waterpump will fit on an 04?

Using the Yeltrik Motorsports OEM parts finder accessable here thru CRFsOnly it shows that the part numbers are the same... 11331-MEB-770. You might double check that...my wife has claimed I have been wrong in the past.

As OldDude mentioned , it "should" be the same , it should be 02-04 with the same case , the only other major differences between 02-04 would be , the forks (mainly size of compression valving stack piston and outer tube length ,rebound rod and valving is the same) , frame (mainly mounting points for muffler/header mid-pipe mount) , flywheel (weight of flywheel) ,rear suspension linkage (02 dogbone different length ,03-04 the same) , Airbox and filter (02 filter only fits 02 airbox , 03-04 are the same) ,swingarm the same 02-04

Those are just off the top of my head , but that should help you a little with some decisions
